Gascogne and Rennes — Earth and Fire

After Bugarach, Merona's path bends west — into Gascogne.

Gascony. The ancient heartland of southwestern France, where the Pyrenees fade into rolling plains and the great pilgrim roads to Santiago de Compostela cross and converge. I placed Merona's Earth mastery here deliberately — Lincoln's research connects those sacred pilgrim roads directly to the pentagram geometry of the Languedoc.

Earth mastery in Gascogne

It is here, in the crucible of battle, that the earth responds to Merona for the first time as something alive — not terrain, but ally.

Then: Rennes

From Gascony, the path turns east to Rennes-le-Chateau — the village at the center of Lincoln's sacred geometry, the epicenter of one of the most enduring mysteries in European history.

Merona arrives at Rennes in a storm. Armaeus is waiting. And it is here that she masters the element of Fire.
